Colorado Summer Landscape Series:

7/28 and 8/4/24 @ 12-3pm MDT 🎉

We are painting the local Colorado "14-er" mountain peaks of Challenger Point (14,087 ft.) and Kit Carson Peak (14,171 ft.) in 2 distinctively different ways.

We will be learning the classic Po Mo landscape painting technique of ink + washes in color on "sized" rice paper.

Summer Introductory Brush Painting classes:

7/13 - Lan Orchid, 8/3 - Summer Bamboo and Chrysanthemum 9/7/24 @ 12-3pm MDT. 🎨

I am heeding the call for more single introductory Po Mo Chinese Brush Painting classes that folks can jump into without any prior experience at all. Yeah! 🥳

So, in addition to my usual classes (see Colorado wildflowers below) the first virtual class of this type will be Lan Grass Orchid next month on Saturday, 7/13 @ 12-3pm. We will start at the very beginning with some history, the 4 treasures, brush holding, preparing and loading + experimenting with different papers and finally learning our 2 main brush stroke techniques in velvety ink with an option for gold metallic.

Join us for a zero pressure, FUN 🎉 afternoon where class time ($9 @ hr) and supplies are super affordable. You can even showcase your art immediately in simple scrolls from Oriental Art Supply❣️

The first class 5/19 we will learn how to paint “new” Bamboo in ink (with an option for a hint of silver) progressing 5/26 to a mature Bamboo in lush summer colors with several Cicada friends flying in (we are having a double brood this year of 13 + 17 yr old Cicadas!)
We have a fun and very supportive community.  Join us!
